Youth Ministry
At Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, our Youth Ministry is a welcoming place where children and students from preschool through high school are known by name, prayed for, and encouraged as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. Our heart is to help every young person understand the Gospel clearly, build a strong foundation in God’s Word, and learn how to live out their faith in everyday life within a safe and caring environment.
On Wednesday nights, we share a meal together before Bible study, giving our youth time to relax, laugh, and build Christ-centered friendships. Throughout the year, students enjoy special events, outings, and meaningful opportunities to serve both in the church and in our community as we seek to reach, teach, and make disciples.
We consider it a joy to walk alongside our youth and their families. We would be honored to welcome your child or student to grow with us and be part of our church family.
On Sundays, we are also happy to provide nursery care and children’s church, so your little ones can learn about Jesus while you enjoy the service.
Music and Worship Ministry
Worship is our joyful response to who God is and what He has done. Through congregational singing, choir, and special music, we seek to lead our church family in Christ-centered worship that encourages believers and points hearts to Jesus.
Our drama ministry works alongside music to help bring biblical truth to life. Through special creative programs and presentations, we communicate the Gospel message in a way that connects hearts and minds with God’s Word.
If you love to sing, act, or help behind the scenes, there is a place for you to serve the Lord with us in our choir and drama team.
Fellowship Ministry
The Fellowship Ministry at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church helps strengthen the bonds of our church family by creating opportunities to gather, share, and grow together. We believe that meaningful fellowship is an important part of the Christian life, encouraging unity, joy, and lasting relationships.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of fellowship meals and events that bring our church together in a spirit of warmth and connection. Whether it is a churchwide meal, a special celebration, or a time of gathering after services, these moments allow us to slow down, enjoy one another’s company, and build deeper relationships.
Our Fellowship Ministry also plays an important role in supporting church events, helping prepare and serve meals, and creating welcoming environments for both members and guests.
Through simple acts of hospitality and shared time together, this ministry reflects the heart of our church, loving one another and growing stronger together in Christ.
Senior Adult Ministry
Our Senior Adult Ministry at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is a place of fellowship, encouragement, and meaningful connection. This group plays a vital role in the life of our church, offering wisdom, faithfulness, and a steady spirit of encouragement to all.
Each quarter, we host Senior Saturdays, special gatherings designed for both fun and fellowship. Sometimes we take a day trip to enjoy local attractions and good food together. Other times, we stay at the church for a relaxed time of sharing a meal, playing games, enjoying a movie, and simply being together.
Our seniors are also deeply involved in caring for others. Each week, they help prepare and deliver arrangements made from our sanctuary flowers to shut-ins and homebound members, small gifts that serve as reminders that they are loved, remembered, and prayed for.
Whether through fellowship, service, or quiet acts of kindness, our Senior Adult Ministry reflects the heart of Pleasant Grove: loving people, building relationships, and serving the Lord faithfully at every stage of life.
WMU & Brotherhood
The WMU and Brotherhood Ministries at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church work hand in hand to lead in missions, service, and outreach. These ministries provide opportunities for both women and men to grow in their faith while actively serving the needs of others in our church, community, and beyond.
Our WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) is deeply committed to supporting missions through prayer, giving, and hands on ministry. They regularly participate in efforts such as collecting funds for the local pregnancy center, preparing prisoner packets, and organizing shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. They also help lead the church in mission giving through opportunities like the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
Our Brotherhood Ministry focuses on service, leadership, and meeting practical needs. One of their most meaningful efforts is building wheelchair ramps free of cost for disabled members of our community, providing both physical help and a powerful testimony of Christ’s love in action.
Together, these ministries play a vital role in the life of our church, strengthening our commitment to serve others, share the Gospel, and live out our faith in tangible ways.
Sunday School Ministry
Our Sunday School Ministry at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is a foundational part of our church’s mission to teach and make disciples. Through age appropriate classes for children, youth, and adults, Sunday School provides a place for deeper Bible study, meaningful discussion, and spiritual growth.
Meeting each Sunday morning, these classes help build strong relationships while grounding individuals and families in God’s Word. Sunday School is more than just a class, it is a place to ask questions, grow in understanding, and connect with others on a personal level.
This ministry also plays an important role in the life of our church by encouraging involvement, strengthening fellowship, and helping people take the next step in their faith journey.
