What to Expect
Dress
We don’t have a dress code at Pleasant Grove. Most people dress up a bit for Sunday worship as a sign of reverence, but you are welcome to come as you are. We simply ask that clothing be modest and not offend the spirit of worship. Wednesday services are more casual, and you’ll see many people in relaxed, everyday clothes.
Service Style
Our services are traditional Southern Baptist. You can expect congregational singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and Bible preaching that is centered on God’s Word. We aim for a worship service that is both reverent and welcoming, with a warm church family atmosphere.
Kids & Youth
We love families and children. We provide a nursery and Children’s Church for children in 5th grade and below during our services. On Wednesday nights, youth ages 5 through high school are invited to Youth Night at 6:00 PM for Bible teaching, activities, a provided meal, and fellowship.
How Long Are Services?
Our Sunday morning worship service usually ends around 12:00–12:15 PM. Sunday evening service is typically a little less than an hour. Wednesday Prayer Meeting lasts about an hour, and Youth on Wednesdays runs from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM.
Parking & Accessibility
Visitors may use the parking areas situated on either side of the church building. Additional parking is available behind the church for overflow.
Marked handicapped parking spaces are available. For those with mobility needs, the side entrance on the left, which includes a covered ramp, is the best option. You can also use this entrance as a drop-off area for anyone who would benefit from being let out close to the door.
Inside the main level of the church, there are no steps in the primary areas guests use, other than the stairs leading to the second floor. Multiple restrooms are available in each section of the church on both floors, and our members are happy to help you find anything you need.
Our parking lots and playground are well lit at night to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for evening services and activities. If you need any assistance when you arrive, please let us know—we’re glad to help.
